A Long and Proud Legacy of Building Hope.

The Taylor-Birks Foundation was founded in 1976 by parents of children with an intellectual disability on the West Island of Montreal.  For over 30 years, the Foundation has financially supported projects that lie outside the mandate of government agencies.

Since the 1980‘s Quebec has rightfully chosen to integrate people with disabilities into the community. Today virtually everyone with a disability lives in their neighborhood, and the majority live with their parents and siblings.

Taylor-Birks Foundation helps to improve the quality of life of these people and their families.
Spend a few minutes exploring the site and see what we do, you will appreciate the lasting preventative strategies the foundation brings to families and community.

The need is real, families are stretched to the breaking point simply coping day to day.
Understand our cause & perhaps you too,  will want to be part of this long and proud legacy of building hope.

The Building Hope capital campaign was a model in collaboration, involving partners at all levels.
A clear demonstration of what can happen when the entire community gets behind a cause.
